The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.

The main responsibilities of the Airport Communications Coordinator include:

  • Providing 24/7 communications support for external and internal operations within the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC)
  • Assisting Managers within the IOC on various matters, including emergencies and operational events
  • Coordinating airport communications to gather, share, and educate on operational information
  • Managing and maintaining Airport Coordination Systems, including Maximo (Fault Reporting), Access Control, CCTV System, and SMS
  • Ensuring timely and accurate provision of information across the airport
  • Maintaining all Terminal Operations Contacts lists
  • Supporting the Airport Co-ordination Centre Supervisor in maintaining ACC systems
  • Deputising and providing relief coverage for the Airport Co-ordination Centre Supervisor
  • Supporting the Airport Manager and Airport Co-ordination Centre Supervisor in emergency situations and customer events.

To succeed in this role, the Airport Communications Coordinator must possess:

  • A strong understanding of airport-specific systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple work streams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-resilience environment
  • A thorough knowledge of aviation operating environments

About the Role:

This position offers a salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
