Distance Education Teacher Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Distance Education Primary Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a real difference in the lives of students.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality education programs to students via distance learning. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to ensure a seamless and effective teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver engaging curriculum overviews and programs.
  • Mark and report student work using existing plans, processes, and formats.
  • Develop adjusted education programs to cater to students with varying needs.
  • Prepare and deliver teaching and learning programs that meet the Australian Curriculum standards.

Requirements:

  • Be proactive and well-organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently while being part of a team environment.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and its application in a distance education setting.
  • Have experience working with children with diverse abilities and learning needs.
  • Be familiar with Charlotte Mason principles or willing to learn them.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Desire to teach in an environment emphasizing Christian values and academic excellence.
  • Experience and ability to teach Primary Years P-6 through distance education.
  • Ability to write and deliver engaging curriculum using best practice pedagogy.
  • Team player outlook with a focus on collaboration and student support.
  • Proven ability to drive academic achievement while supporting diverse learners.
  • Ability to integrate digital technologies into teaching and learning experiences.
