Lead Maintenance Team

Maintenance supervisors will lead one of our mobile maintenance teams. They are responsible for routine and planned maintenance as well as priority corrective maintenance on all plant and equipment.

They play a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of the mine working collaboratively with stakeholders in mining, engineering, and planning to ensure maintenance is executed to a high standard and aligned with strategic needs.

Responsibilities
  • Be a visible leader proactively maintaining high expectations towards site safety standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the mining and maintenance teams providing the best outcome.
  • Provide leadership setting clear expectations upholding accountabilities reviewing performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and equipment for repairs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement strategies in safety and technical matters.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A mechanical or electrical trade certificate and/or tertiary mechanical/electrical engineering qualification.
  • Previous HME maintenance supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment.
  • Heavy plant maintenance experience draglines excavators haul trucks CAT ancillary equipment and drills.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation.
  • Ability to make data-driven risk-based decisions.
  • Strong frontline leadership skills with effective written and verbal communication.
  • Previous exposure and experience with a maintenance management system.
