Job Title: Dietitian Assistant

As a dietitian assistant, you play a vital role in supporting patient nutrition care, working closely with healthcare professionals.

The Role Overview

This is an opportunity to assist patients with menu selections and act as a liaison between the Dietetics Department, nursing, and food service personnel. The ideal candidate will be able to work on a seven-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with varying shift start times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support patients with their menu selections and provide assistance to the Nutrition & Dietetics team
  • Act as a liaison between the Dietetics Department, nursing, and food service personnel
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
Working Environment

You will be based at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, Sydney, with access to training and support to help you succeed in your role.

Selection Criteria
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent work experience with a willingness to work towards certification
  • Proven interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
