Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in software development and passion for building data-driven solutions using cloud technologies.

This role is part of our Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO), which aims to realise a data-driven organisation.

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for building state-of-the-art data platforms and pipeline solutions.

You'll work collaboratively with our team to improve the standard of digital banking by solving complex data-centric problems using the latest technology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop next-generation data platforms and data pipeline solutions.
  • Contribute to and learn from wider engineering talent in the team.
  • Execute high-quality coding practices to drive outcomes and minimise risks.
  • Create technology blueprints and engineering roadmaps for a multi-year data transformational journey.
  • Lead and drive a culture where quality, excellence, and openness are championed.
  • Think creatively to solve complex data problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in cloud data platforms (Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, EMR).
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, and distributed data processing.
  • Experience with data encryption and security measures.
  • Knowledge of data product thinking and data mesh principles.
