Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Platform Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in enabling projects to scale by collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, document and validate business and technical requirements for data platform initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with data engineers and architects to shape solution designs ensuring alignment with business goals. They will also analyze source systems, data flows and transformation logic to support ETL/ELT development and integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, document and validate business and technical requirements for data platform initiatives
  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects to shape solution designs
  • Analyze source systems, data flows and transformation logic to support ETL/ELT development
  • Develop and maintain artefacts including BRDs, functional specs and mapping documents
  • Support testing and validation of data pipelines ensuring accuracy completeness and performance
  • Facilitate workshops sprint planning and backlog grooming with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulatory and security frameworks
To Succeed in the Role
  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in data-centric projects
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake AWS S3 and AWS Glue
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex datasets schemas and transformation logic
  • Experience with SQL for data profiling validation and analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery JIRA Confluence and CI/CD environments
  • Excellent communication skills able to translate technical detail into business value
  • Exposure to other AWS services such as Lambda Athena and Redshift
  • Experience in financial services government or other regulated industries
