This role involves working on day shifts, Monday to Friday, at our off-site rebuild facility.
As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for assisting with machine overhauls and component change outs, as well as carrying out general repairs and servicing.
Ensuring equipment compliance with mine-site and MDG15 regulations is also a key aspect of this position.
Our ideal candidate will have post-trade experience maintaining machinery such as Caterpillar off-highway trucks, Komatsu tracked equipment, and On-highway rigid trucks.
- Relevant trade certificates in Diesel Fitting, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Plant Mechanics or similar are highly valued.
- A Class 'C' Driver's license is also essential for this role.
- Post-trade experience in the mining and heavy earth moving industry is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment are crucial for success in this position.
- Experience in maintenance, diagnosis, component changed outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment is also desirable.
