About Us

We are seeking an experienced professional for a challenging role at our Wambo Mine, a complex that produces metallurgical and thermal coal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in line with production requirements and safe operating procedures.
- Contribute to achieving production targets safely and efficiently.
- Perform planned and breakdown maintenance tasks on all underground equipment.
- Fault-finding and repairing mechanical plant and equipment.
- Operate equipment as required.
- Ensure work meets high standards and is performed to trade standards.
- Complete necessary documentation, planning sheets, and work orders.

The Lifestyle:

This position will be offered to align with current site roster arrangements of 3 x 12 hour shifts per week (Day shift or Night Shift as required under the needs of the business).

About You:

- Mechanical trade qualifications.
- Experience working in underground mining operations (ideally 12 months +).
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to participate in risk assessments and manage risk.
- Strong commitment to safety as a way of life.
- Reliable.
- Experience with Joy/Komatsu LW and Development equipment will be highly regarded.
