Role Overview:

We are seeking a Media Communications Specialist to join our External Affairs unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media and digital communications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role:

  • As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities of the media team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of integrated communication services.
  • You will research, plan, and create contemporary communications for media and/or other channels as required to align with business priorities and strategic goals.
  • Liaise with executives, stakeholders, and department representatives, providing expert advice on external communication, digital platforms, emerging technologies, policies, and general inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of the media team.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies across various channels.
  • Provide expert advice on external communication, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, corporate affairs, or similar, or at least five years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities for creating impactful content for various media and communications channels.
  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities, including providing clear strategic advice in achieving communication objectives.
  • Possesses strong organisational, resource, and time management skills.
  • Highly developed business and political acumen and emotional intelligence.

Your Background:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, corporate affairs, or similar.
  • At least five years of experience in a similar role.
