About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at the Senior Moreton Bay Campus. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and education of our students, providing guidance and mentorship to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of pastoral care and community development programs to meet student wellbeing needs and attendance targets
  • Plan and lead wellbeing programs for students, including vocational training and community engagement initiatives
  • Support the delivery of programs and services offered to young people through the operation of the campus
  • Form intentional relationships with students to understand their strengths, passions, and needs, and provide support and guidance accordingly
  • Support and case manage identified students in line with school policies and practice
Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field
  • Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies to establish and maintain a supportive environment
  • Commitment to working with young people using the Strengths Approach and demonstrating a non-judgmental, empathic framework
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
