The role of the Planned Surgery Liaison Nurse is critical in helping us achieve our vision of delivering world-class healthcare services.
Job Overview:
The Planned Surgery Liaison Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of planned surgical procedures.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, maintaining compliance with the Planned Surgery Access Policy, and enhancing theatre efficiency through effective list planning.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant post-graduate qualification or minimum 5 years acute nursing experience
- Demonstrated skills in acute nursing care
- Effective management, communication, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Innovation, resourcefulness, and adaptability to change
- Commitment to high-quality, safe, and person-centred care
- Relevant management post-graduate qualification or working towards one
- Knowledge of the Planned Surgery Access Policy
