Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. Our team delivers high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to patients, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
About the RoleYou will be an integral member of our experienced healthcare team, providing a range of mental health services to patients. Your responsibilities will include intake assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, and medication management. You will also provide extra support services as required, working closely with the Senior Mental Health team for your region.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and deliver evidence-based treatments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Provide crisis intervention and risk management planning
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge
Lavarack Health Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. Our centre provides primary medical, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to Defence members, with a 24/7 inpatient ward.
About YouWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate mental health nurse to join our team. You will be a registered nurse with current unconditional and unrestricted registration in Australia, credentialed with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN), and a minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) post-graduate experience in mental health. You will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a passion for working with patients and their families.
