Job Overview

The role of Health, Safety and Environment Manager is crucial in our organization, encompassing the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the HSE function, providing guidance to leadership and project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance HSE performance, driving cultural change and fostering a positive safety culture across the business.
  • Deliver HSE training programs, promoting awareness and understanding among staff, and supporting incident management and reporting processes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in HSE management, preferably in commercial construction or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualification in HSE, Engineering or a related field, with a minimum Cert IV WHS.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to implement HSE systems, drive cultural change and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
