We are seeking a skilled project leader to oversee the delivery of brownfield and sustaining capital projects. As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in engineering and proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

The Role

This leadership position is focused on leading the execution of brownfields and sustaining capital projects for Tier 1-3 resource companies. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination of engineering resources and driving business development activities.

  • Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of brownfields and sustaining capital projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Team Management: Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external contractors to coordinate resources and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling: Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and engineering practices.
Business Development
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with our strategic goals.
  • Proposal Development: Develop proposals, tenders, and RFQs in collaboration with internal subject matter experts.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, including site visits and industry event representation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and ensure proposals meet client expectations and project profitability.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams on brownfields and sustaining capital projects.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including cost control, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and RFQs.
  • Experience managing business development activities, including proposal preparation and maintaining strong, strategic client relationships.
