About the Role

We are seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the Assessment and Service Connect (ASC) program in the Gold Coast region. The ASC is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary approach developed as a new way of working between Child Safety Services, other government agencies, and the non-government sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to deliver high-quality outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
  • Actively participate in activities, including meetings of ASC members and key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert opinion, advice, assessments, and consultation on referrals, processes, and service connections.
  • Respond as part of the ASC team on referrals.
Requirements
  • A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, such as social work or human services.
  • At least 5 years' experience working with children, young people, and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect.
  • Ability to lead and build a strong, cohesive team in alignment with Act for Kids' values.
  • Demonstrated specialist skills in at least one of the following areas: drug and alcohol, mental health, domestic & family violence, child development.
