Nurse Unit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Baptcare Careers. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, in line with the Aged Care Standards and Baptcare's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Care Delivery: Ensure that care reflects current best practice guidelines and respects the individual consumer's needs and preferences with dignity.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to Baptcare's policies and procedures as a framework for the provision of high-quality care.
- Staff Support: Ensure staff has appropriate equipment and training to provide care, and proactively alert the site Manager to any issues.
- Documentation: Ensure all staff are clear on documentation requirements and maintain clear, consistent, and compliant records for their area.
- Customer Service: Contribute to the service being welcoming to all consumers, and liaise with internal and external customers in a compassionate and helpful manner.
- Reporting: Ensure all required reporting (risk, audits, reviews) are completed as per schedules, and take appropriate action if results are under expected limits.
- ACFI Reassessments: Manage Aged Care funding assessments and ensure full completion of required documentation within required time frames.
We are looking for a passionate and solution-focused individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents. You will have a strong background in clinical aged care management, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to supervise and motivate staff. You will also have a contemporary understanding of continuous improvement frameworks and be able to work collaboratively as a member of our Residential Services Management Team.
