Career Opportunity: Safety Advisor

About the Role:

  • Contribute to a culture of prioritizing safety and health.
  • Develop and implement effective safety systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project supervisors and personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills in WHS processes and practices.
  • Work with engineers and workforce representatives to eliminate risks and ensure the hierarchy of controls is implemented.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure safety protocols are in place.
  • Ensure actions from inspections, audits, and incident investigations are captured and followed through until closure.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety.
  • Previous site-based experience in a similar role on a major construction or civil infrastructure project.
  • Experience with site-based DAS testing and occupational hygiene monitoring.
  • Previous experience in managing a team.
  • ICAM investigation experience (qualifications highly desirable).
  • Competent inspection and report writing skills.
  • Open to FIFO work or travel based on project needs.
  • Exceptional attitude, willingness to learn, and grow in a Tier 1 company.
