Role Overview

The primary purpose of the HSEQ Advisor role is to provide support, education, and advice to operational leaders and employees to achieve the Company's goal of Zero Harm. This includes assisting in controlling business risks associated with HSEQ and meeting established legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business performance to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and track performance on both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Maintain current KPI reporting with the team and continue to work with them to improve outcomes, such as safety observations.
  • Conduct onsite inspections and audits of operational tasks, ensuring compliance with established procedures and protocols.
  • Delivery of interactive toolbox talks and safety topics to promote a culture of safety awareness and engagement.
  • Worksite interactions to monitor safety procedures and processes, evaluating methods for ongoing improvement.
  • Conduct safety audit inspections to ensure compliance with operational management plans and business guidelines.
Safety Expectations

As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be expected to:

  • Identify, assess, and report all known and newly identified hazards and incidents in the workplace.
  • Implement effective risk controls to mitigate potential harm.
  • Participate in the monitoring, review, and evaluation of implemented risk controls.
  • Stop work where there is an imminent danger and escalate to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an operational environment.
  • A Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
