Network Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in network security, firewall management, and vulnerability assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network data streams and event log data to ensure gateway operations are optimized and maintained.
  • Improve Perform Vulnerability Management to identify and treat all vulnerabilities to the network according to set guidelines.
  • Ensure service availability meets or exceeds customer service availability guidelines.
  • Maintain agreed security records and documentation.
  • Investigate identified security breaches in accordance with established procedures and recommend required actions.
  • Assist users in defining access rights and privileges, and administer logical access controls and security systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of computer/network security policies and enforcement, as well as experience in configuring and supporting Apache, DNS environments, and Windows Server.

Requirements:
  • AGSVA Security Clearance
  • Network experience with switches, routers, SNAT/NAT
  • Firewall experience preferably a mixtures of Stateful and Layer 7
  • Firewalls Proxy experience Solaris or Linux/Unix experience understanding of commands and concepts is required
  • Mail experience understanding the setup and maintenance of Servers and clients
  • Troubleshooting experience - the ability to perform root cause analysis on network/computer issues on clients, servers and network equipment.
  • A general understanding of Computer/Network Security Policies and enforcement Load Balancing experience.
  • Experience in configuring and supporting Apache Experience in supporting a DNS environment.
  • Experience in supporting Windows Server and associated domains.
  • General scripting skills Shell, Perl, etc.
