About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Settlements Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract, full-time basis.
">

As a Real Estate Settlements Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely processing of financial transactions associated with real estate sales and settlements. You will work closely with our branch staff, helping to manage trust accounts, reconcile payments, and maintain compliance with industry and company procedures.

You will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Opening, managing, and reconciling client trust and agent commission accounts for property listings and settlements">
  • Completing data entry to record and process Sale Advices for all branch locations across Australia">
  • Reconciling sales trust bank accounts on a daily basis">
  • Liaising with branch teams to resolve documentation issues and ensure adherence to procedures">
  • Contributing to audit preparation, process improvement, and the promotion of our values">

We are looking for an individual with:

">
  • ">
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance or accounting environment, preferably within real estate or trust accounting">
  • A strong understanding of general accounting procedures; a Certificate IV in Accounting (or similar) is desirable">
  • Confidence with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; high attention to detail in data entry and reconciliation tasks">
  • Experience with bank account reconciliations and preparing journal entries">
  • The ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy">
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving">
  • Knowledge of the real estate industry or settlements processes is an advantage">
