Job Title: Surveillance Duty Manager

About the Role

The Surveillance Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations at Treasury Brisbane are managed professionally and efficiently.

This includes ensuring high compliance with relevant legislation, while supporting team delivery of five-star guest experiences.

  • Support the Surveillance Manager in developing and implementing business plans to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Investigate and provide analysis to senior management to assist in asset protection strategies and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and reduce incidents of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal or undesirable activities within Treasury complex.
  • Liaise and document information with interstate surveillance departments, OLGR and relevant law enforcement agencies for intelligence purposes.
  • Provide leadership and direction on operational aspects of the Surveillance Department, ensuring customer service, financial budgets and operational requirements are met.
  • Monitor, evaluate and modify the quality and consistency of service within the monitor room to continuously meet and improve service standards, ensuring alignment with overall strategic and operating plans for the business.
  • Manage the training and career development programme for all monitor room personnel, identify any operational training requirements and implement induction and self-paced training programs in accordance with departmental objectives and best practice.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in surveillance and management, preferably within the casino industry.
  • An understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular Casino Control Act and regulations.
  • The ability to effectively communicate and implement all statutory processes.
  • A KE licence.
  • Proven ability to investigate and provide analysis to senior management to assist in asset protection strategies and best practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team to ensure a high standard of work output and service, with emphasis on maintaining integrity and minimising illegal or undesirable activity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting department, company and corporate policies, procedures and principles.
