About the Role

Capral is seeking a highly motivated Apprentice Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a busy manufacturing plant. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under supervision to assist with preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure plant and machinery is operating in a safe, sustainable, and productive state.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop electrical skills and learn how to maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment involved in the extrusion and powder-coating manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintenance tasks to ensure plant and machinery is operating efficiently
  • Develop electrical skills and knowledge to maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Work under supervision to ensure all safety requirements are met
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Eligible for the prescribed apprenticeship with a genuine commitment to completion
  • Sound academic achievement with a good attendance record
  • Advanced mathematics skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all safety requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable team player with a motivated and eager attitude
