About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Battery Management Systems (BMS) and solar power solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic modules for commercial and research-based initiatives.
  • Translate end-user requirements into electronics specifications and designs.
  • Work closely with production and mechanical teams to overcome technical challenges and optimize integrated solutions.
  • Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols between modules and controllers, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Document designs, schematics, block diagrams, and project activities, using version control systems to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and take ownership of ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain open, effective, and respectful communication with all staff, clients, and suppliers, fostering a positive and collaborative business environment.
  • Fulfill additional engineering-focused duties as required.
Selection Criteria:
  • Essential:
    • Relevant qualifications in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.
    • Proven expertise in designing and producing electronics modules that align with project requirements.
    • Strong hands-on experience in constructing, commissioning, and testing electronic circuits.
    • In-depth knowledge of digital design and communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet.
    • Extensive experience with system integration and DC Power distribution systems, including inverters, solar modules, and battery chargers.
    • Knowledge of embedded system design and programming in languages such as C++, C, and MATLAB.
    • A solid understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related battery assembly components.
    • Demonstrated experience in testing, evaluating, and troubleshooting Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with electronic circuit design software (e.g., Altium).
    • Proficiency in analog electronics and DC power electronics design.
    • In-depth knowledge of battery chemistries and power management systems.
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD drafting software (e.g., Alibre, Geomagic, SolidWorks).

Location: This role is based in Sydney, and preference will be given to candidates who are currently residing in Sydney or are willing to relocate.

Salary: From $120,000 per annum + 11.5% Super for the right candidate.
