**Role Overview**

Advanced Navigation is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Director to lead our Research and Development team in the design and development of cutting-edge navigation and robotics products.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing a team of electronics, FPGA, and mechanical engineers, setting technical direction, and driving continuous improvement in development practices.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the hardware team, setting technical direction and goals
  • Prepare and participate in performance reviews for team members
  • Drive continuous improvement in development practices
  • Establish and ensure adherence to team-specific quality control practices
  • Collaborate with the software team to ensure well-integrated designs
  • Create personal work packages with clearly defined deliverables
  • Provide regular progress updates to project/functional managers
  • Identify scope and schedule risks and address/raise them with management

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 10-20 years of experience in high-level electronics design roles and/or hardware management
  • Experience managing highly technical teams
  • Experience designing and developing complex electronics
  • Significant experience developing precision analogue data acquisition/processing and high-speed digital circuits
