Job Overview

A Technical Operations Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of AWS global infrastructure. This team is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and maintaining all aspects of the cloud platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and Grow: Develop expertise in the Data Center industry through hands-on experience and training programs.
  • Contract Management: Assist on-site management of contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with established practices and local regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintain performance benchmarks, analyze data, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Change Management: Generate requests and incident tickets as directed.
  • Documentation: Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
  • New Facility Development: Assist with the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
  • Asset Management: Manage facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management as directed.
  • Operational Meetings: Participate in construction and operational meetings as required.
  • Work Order Compliance: Assist with work order compliance and review contractual SLAs.
  • Infra Ops Interface: Interface with infra ops teams for day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Infrastructure Issue Resolution: Assist in resolving any infrastructure engineering or services issues.
