About the Role

Curtin University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Excellence & Impact Partner. This is a unique opportunity to drive research excellence and embed a culture of impact across the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of excellence and impact strategies to maximize research impact at various levels within the University.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on excellence and impact strategies to enhance awareness of external opportunities across the University community throughout the research lifecycle.
  • Develop and coordinate training activities, including guidance notes and workshops, to support researchers in identifying, communicating, and delivering research impact effectively.
  • Manage policies and procedures that support the dissemination and assessment of research excellence and impact.
  • Capture and report data related to engagement and impact.
  • Coordinate research award nominations and liaise with senior staff to identify suitable candidates.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Strong understanding of research performance assessment in the higher education sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills to liaise effectively with and influence a wide range of people at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically, exercise critical judgment, and identify new ways to support business strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information to provide evidence of the impact of research.
  • High-level written and presentation skills with demonstrated experience in developing proposals and professional reports.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills with the ability to coordinate diverse tasks within specified timeframes in a high-pressure environment.
