Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily living support to clients, including personal care and hygiene
  • Administer medications and support health-related tasks according to individual care plans
  • Monitor and report on clients' health and well-being, addressing any concerns promptly
  • Encourage and assist clients in activities that promote independence and personal growth
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
  • Build positive relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field
  • Hoisting and Manual Handling experience
  • Availability to work on a 24/7 roster, including inactive sleepovers
  • Communication and interpersonal skills with non-verbal participants
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and undergo a criminal record check

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven experience working in high care support or complex needs environments
  • Knowledge of the NDIS framework and person-centered approaches
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Compassionate and respectful approach to client care
