Job Overview

The Nursing Director role is pivotal in overseeing nursing operations across Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, and Maryborough hospitals. This position offers the opportunity to shape the nursing workforce strategy, ensuring exceptional patient care delivery in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Nursing Director is accountable for operational leadership, management, and delivery of nursing services within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service at an expert level.
  • This role is responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-informed nursing standards and leading the design, planning, development, implementation, and management of nursing workforce strategies.

Applications are encouraged from First Nations nurses and midwives in line with Health Equity and Hospital and Health Plan Strategies.
