Labourforce Night Shift Maintenance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Maintenance Manager to join our team at Labourforce. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our scrap metal yard during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team during the night shift.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
  • Staff and performance management.
  • Continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs and parts procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualifications (mechanical).
  • Previous experience/knowledge working on heavy mobile and fixed plant maintenance, including loaders, excavators, crushers, screens, shredders, and mills.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a scrap metal or heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in the scrap metal industry is a plus.
  • Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $155-$160k+ superannuation.
  • A $25k night shift allowance.
  • A $20k car allowance.
