Internal Communications Specialist Role

The key objective of this position is to drive employee engagement, enhance leadership visibility and strengthen organisational culture through effective internal communications.

This role requires a skilled communicator, passionate about crafting compelling stories that resonate with employees, while showcasing the organisation's people and projects. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will deliver timely, integrated and impactful communications that align with business strategy and keep employees informed.

A key focus will be leading the employee intranet, creating content to support internal information-sharing and leadership messaging. Leveraging data and insights, you will develop and implement targeted communication campaigns that reinforce organisational values and position the employer as a choice workplace.

With an emphasis on clarity, effectiveness and minimising reputational risk, you will define objectives, create action plans and measure success to continuously enhance internal communications.

To contribute to this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong research, writing, editing and presentation skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or public relations or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years' experience in a communications role.
  • Passion for internal communication.
  • Strong knowledge of communication strategies, trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships in complex environments.
  • Adaptability and composure in high-pressure situations.
