About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team on an independent contractor basis. As a Field Service Technician, you will be primarily based in the field, responding to consumer service calls and diagnosing, repairing, and servicing domestic appliances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair domestic appliances
  • Interact with consumers, retailers, and commercial customers on a daily basis
  • Work closely with our Service Allocation Team and Field Service Manager
  • Manage spare parts and van stock to enable first visit resolution
  • Complete service jobs accurately and on time via company-issued technology
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant license and certification to comply with state legislation
  • Business registration (ABN)
  • Current public liability insurance ($10 million)
  • Workers' compensation insurance (if applicable)
  • Availability and flexibility to cover a metropolitan service area
  • Laundry, kitchen, or white goods experience is advantageous
  • Sound technical knowledge of appliances to diagnose and problem-solve
  • Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment, and gauges to ensure optimal use
  • Excellent customer service and effective communication skills
  • A genuine enjoyment of building rapport with consumers and delivering a positive experience
