Are you a dedicated professional looking to make a real difference in your community? As an Emergency Management Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping emergency preparedness and response across one of Melbourne's most dynamic and rapidly growing municipalities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about community safety and resilience. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders to develop and implement effective emergency management plans and programs.

You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of emergency management plans and programs, assisting in fire management planning and annual inspection programs, providing strategic advice and coordination across Council and community stakeholders, promoting emergency management education and awareness initiatives, and contributing to Council's readiness and response capabilities during emergency events.

To succeed in this role, you will require a sound understanding of emergency management principles and practices, strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, proven ability to make sound decisions using good judgement and experience, high-level customer service skills with a proactive and helpful approach, well-developed project support and coordination capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant specialist software, and ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours during emergency events.
