About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in emergency management and preparedness initiatives across one of Melbourne's fastest growing municipalities.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting internal safety culture and community resilience through:

  • Developing and implementing emergency management plans and programs.
  • Assisting in fire management planning and annual inspection programs.
  • Providing strategic advice and coordination across stakeholders.
  • Promoting education and awareness initiatives.
  • Contributing to readiness and response capabilities during emergency events.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A sound understanding of emergency management principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions using good judgement and experience.
  • High-level customer service skills with a proactive approach.
  • Well-developed project support and coordination capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant specialist software.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours during emergency events.
