Respiratory Medicine Specialist

The Central Coast Health District is seeking a Medical Specialist in Respiratory Medicine to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients with respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist medical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases such as tuberculosis.
- Work collaboratively with community respiratory care teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including residents and medical students.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and develop clinical protocols.
- Medical registration in Australia and eligibility for fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- Recognised specialist qualifications, including Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
- Appropriate experience in practicing as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Respiratory Medicine.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience in teaching the management of the deteriorating patient.
- Knowledge and experience in running a specialist interstitial lung disease service.
- Competency in pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
