Respiratory Medicine Specialist

This is a part-time position within the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Gosford Hospital, Central Coast Local Health District. The department has strong connections with Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Newcastle.


About the Position

We are seeking a suitably qualified medical practitioner to fill this role. The successful applicant will be eligible for registration in New South Wales and have a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or other specialist recognition.


Key Responsibilities
  • To work as a senior medical practitioner in respiratory medicine.
  • To provide medical care to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • To lead and supervise medical and surgical trainees, residents, and medical students.

Requirements
  • A medical degree and fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or other specialist recognition.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and competency in pleural procedures, bronchoscopy, and EBUS.
  • Knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and management of tuberculosis.
