Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Economist to join our team in Melbourne, Sydney, or Singapore. As an Economist at Frontier Economics, you will work on a range of microeconomic projects, developing quantitative economic models and providing expert advice to clients. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply economic models to analyze complex problems and provide expert advice to clients
  • Conduct research and collect data to inform economic analysis and recommendations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement project plans and deliverables
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and colleagues through written reports and presentations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform economic analysis and recommendations
Requirements
  • Honours or Master's degree in economics or econometrics
  • Ability to write and present complex economic ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload
  • Clear written and oral communication skills, including preparation of reports and presentations
  • Experience working effectively with clients or relevant stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of and experience in one of the key industry sectors that Frontier Economics works in, such as natural resources, energy, transport, infrastructure, or water
  • Proficiency in computer coding and modelling skills, particularly Excel, and/or R and/or Python
