Water Infrastructure Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Water Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our water group, you will have the opportunity to work on complex water and wastewater design projects that make a positive impact on communities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the structural design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, and more
  • Ensuring technical quality from concept through to detailed design
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team nationally to share knowledge and drive best practices
  • Managing design packages or leading project components
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers to develop technical and professional skills
  • Contributing to proposals and bids with a focus on innovative, client-centric solutions
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong hands-on design experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Proven experience in water infrastructure design, particularly water retaining structures
  • Familiarity with relevant design tools (e.g., 12D), WSAA codes, and Australian Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, high-quality technical reports
  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is highly regarded
