About the Role

The onsite Community and Stakeholder Manager will play a crucial role in the construction of Iberdrola Australia's largest solar and BESS project located near Rockhampton in Central Queensland.

This position will work closely with the Principal Contractor's Community and Stakeholder Manager, the Iberdrola Project Stakeholders, and the Workers Camp Accommodation Operations Manager to ensure effective communication, consultation, and engagement of relevant stakeholders during the construction of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and coordinate community engagement events and programs, including internal and external relationship management to support the project during construction.
  • Plan, develop, and implement community and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH LANDHOLDERS, PROJECT NEIGHBOURS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, AND PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT.
  • PROMOTE CULTURAL AWARENESS, EMPLOYMENT, AND PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN IBERDROLA PRINCIPAL CONTRACTORS AND TRADITIONAL OWNERS.
  • WORK WITH CAMP OPERATOR TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATION OF THE CAMP.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualification in public relations or stakeholder management, or similar degree.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management or communications on large infrastructure projects.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and thrive within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working a FIFO/DIDO roster and living and working in a construction environment.

Estimated Salary: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
