Firefighter and Community Safety Specialist

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.
Purpose of the RoleThe functions of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are unique, delivering high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency.
Key Accountabilities- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as a member of a team.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES.
- Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.

This opportunity requires you to live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station. You must have Australian Permanent Resident Status and hold a manual C Class driver's licence.
Estimated Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
