Job Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Team Lead to join our team.

About the Role

This leadership position involves overseeing a team of Urban Planners, ensuring correct staffing levels and resourcing of projects, maintaining high engagement with team members, and working collaboratively across disciplines to achieve project outcomes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in a consultancy environment, proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing, as well as extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Urban Planners, providing guidance and support to ensure project delivery meets client expectations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing to inform project decisions.
  • Act as a project manager, coordinating projects to ensure timely delivery and meeting client needs.
  • Develop project plans and strategies to achieve business objectives, including resource allocation and risk management.
  • Mentor junior staff, promoting their growth and development within the organization.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture/Urban Design or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a consultancy environment or similar.
  • Proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW.
