The IFYS Child Protection Residential Care Programs provide a safe and nurturing living environment for children and young people who require support. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will work closely with the Case Manager to deliver day-to-day care to young people in our Residential Care house.

  • PLANNING AND ATTENDING ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING
  • Maintaining A CLEAN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with young people. You will also be flexible, adaptable, and open to learning, as no two days are the same.

You will have experience working with vulnerable individuals who display challenging behaviours and possess strong resilience and professional boundaries. You will be comfortable using computers and completing administrative tasks.

Essential Requirements
  • A QLD Working With Children Blue Card or application in progress
  • A current valid driver's license with no restrictions

  • Hold or enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field prior to commencing work
Estimated Salary: $46.69 - $84.04 per hour
