The Role: Security Systems Technician

We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician to join our Service Team in this exciting opportunity. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control, CCTV, intercom, and duress systems. This role offers the chance to work on various projects, including commercial fitouts and upgrades, as well as developing expertise in cyber security and sales.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Determine and rectify faults in security equipment
  • Carry out preventative maintenance at existing sites
  • Install small to medium commercial projects
  • Commission small to medium commercial projects
  • Prepare quotes for fault repair works identified during maintenance
  • Liaise with subcontractors during project commissioning
  • Assist the commercial projects team with new and existing works
  • Manage customer relationships

Security Systems and Technology:

The successful candidate will have experience or certification in security control systems such as P2000, C-Cure, Lenel, Concept, Tecom Integriti Protégé WX-GX, and Gallagher. Additionally, they should have knowledge of CCTV systems, including NVRs, DVRs, network switches, and CCTV servers from brands like HikVision, NX Witness, Hanwah, Genetec, Avigilon, and Milestone. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidates.

Requirements:

  • Australian resident with a valid QLD driving license, cable license, security license, and building industry induction card
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven interest in working with high-level and low-level networked systems, including PC-related skills for day-to-day paperwork and job-specific commissioning documentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Will to participate in the paid on-call roster
