About the Role:

This is a Part-time 0.5 EFT Fixed-term role for 12 months within the Nutrition and Food Services Department, working Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesdays.

As a key member of the Diabetes Allied Health team, you will provide dietitian services to young people living with diabetes and their families, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to manage their condition within the hospital and in their local community.

You will also provide nutritional management for other paediatric patients requiring dietary modification or nutritional support and their families within RCH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient care is integrated and effective
  • Provide nutritional care to paediatric patients (inpatients and outpatients) and nutritional support to patients with diabetes and their families
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including food service and formula room staff, to ensure patient and ward needs are addressed effectively

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for full Membership of Dietitians Australia
  • Eligibility for the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program
  • Minimum postgraduate degree Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
