Job Title: Financial Operations Supervisor

About the Role:

The Financial Operations Supervisor will be responsible for providing financial and operational support to our insurance and international payments business. This includes supporting insurance renewals and extensions, handling reconciliations, refunds, commissions, and daily, weekly, and monthly payments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to insurance renewals and extensions
  • Handling reconciliations, refunds, commissions, and daily, weekly, and monthly payments
  • Processing payments and documents into the accounting software
  • Posting financial data to appropriate accounts in the accounting system
  • Entering, updating, and retrieving accounting data from systems
  • Reconciling transactions, financial data, and other information to the company's accounting system
  • Managing the company's accounting software
  • Performing banking, invoicing, and credit card reconciliation
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and ensuring accuracy of information contained in financial reports
  • Classifying tax and preparing BAS reporting
  • Verifying compliance
  • Maintaining internal control systems
  • Conducting ad-hoc research activities as required

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 3+ years of experience in a role related to accounting, operations, and customer support
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a finance or accounting related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and escalation abilities
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
