
Career Opportunity: Archaeological Field Survey Specialist

Elevate your skills as an archaeological field technician in a project-term, field-based position. This role involves assisting with or conducting archaeological field surveys across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct shovel tests and screen soil to locate artifacts.
- Visually inspect land surfaces for signs of artifacts.
- Bag recovered artifacts and record their provenience.
- Maintain detailed field notes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in archaeological field schools or survey work.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain.
- Capacity to work extended hours, including weekends and over 40 hours per week when necessary.
- Working knowledge of archaeological survey protocols.
- Ability to work independently in the field for extended periods.
- Must meet criteria identified in job demands and conditions analysis for office and field positions.
- BA in anthropology or related field advantageous but not required.
