Join our search for an Associate Archaeologist to contribute to the discovery and preservation of cultural heritage.
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead fieldwork and provide technical expertise in Aboriginal cultural heritage management plans, working collaboratively with a range of disciplines and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in archaeology and heritage management, with experience leading cultural heritage management plans and supervising and conducting heritage assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and delivering Victorian Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plans
- Supervising and conducting heritage and significance assessments
- Managing project portfolios and preparing proposals for key clients
- Victorian Registered Heritage Advisor qualification and relevant experience
- Honours or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. heritage management, archaeology)
- Consulting experience with a focus on Aboriginal heritage in Victoria
- Experience leading cultural heritage management plans
- Opportunity to work with a team of experienced heritage specialists
