Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time or part-time Aged Care Home & Community Assistant in Mackay.

This role involves providing personalised home care support to older Australians, enabling them to continue living independently in their own homes.

You will travel between clients' homes, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed per KM travelled while you are working).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Domestic assistance including light house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
  • Community access to medical appointments and social activities
  • Support with daily tasks and routines
  • Building positive relationships with clients and their families
Skills & Qualifications:
  • An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passion for making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (obtained prior to employment)
