A leading institution is seeking a senior cloud engineer to accelerate its digital-transformation initiative. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines and repositories, ensuring secure and repeatable releases.

This opportunity enables you to contribute to the modernisation of an organisation's technology stack with the stability of a permanent role and the flexibility of hybrid work arrangements.

  • You will develop friction-free delivery by codifying infrastructure as code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM, and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • You will enhance the platform by governing Azure networking, security, containers, and implementing cost-saving measures across the tenancy.
  • You will uplift the team by mentoring engineers and leading new cloud initiatives, setting DevOps standards across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will automate and scale Azure infrastructure via IaC, leveraging your expertise in Bicep and ARM.
  • You will design and implement YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable rapid, reliable releases.
  • You will implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain service performance and resilience.
  • You will enforce tagging, naming, and security policies; promote continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
  • You will serve as a senior escalation point for complex incidents while guiding junior engineers.
Requirements
  • You will have 7+ years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering with deep Azure expertise and IaC skills (Bicep).
  • You will possess a proven record of building enterprise-grade CI/CD in Azure DevOps and managing containerised workloads.
  • You will have a strong grasp of cloud security, networking, and FinOps practices.
  • You will be a natural coach and communicator who enjoys lifting team capability.
