Transforming Aged Care through Policy and Innovation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Departmental Officer to join our team in the Reform Implementation Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aged care in Australia.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of policy development, analysis, and implementation. You will be responsible for identifying and considering policy, program, and regulatory issues and risks to inform policy, programs, and briefings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring alignment of policy options with broader aged care system reforms
  • Identifying and considering policy, program, and regulatory issues and risks to inform policy, programs, and briefings
  • Working across the Aged Care Group and with other key stakeholders to develop briefings and supporting products for Ministers and the Executive on a range of aged care system, ageing policy, ageing and aged care research and other related matters
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement a forward work plan for the Section
  • Contributing to program management of aged care programs including lifechecks.gov.au and the Dementia and Aged Care Services Fund
