The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Reliability Specialist to join our team at Incitec Pivot Fertilisers. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical equipment reliability and integrity across our Mount Isa plant.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting technical standards and developing strategies to operate and maintain equipment
  • Monitoring compliance and undertaking technical investigations, inspections, studies, and surveys
  • Participating in training and development systems for self-improvement
  • Ensuring effective Reliability and Capability Life plans for all equipment assets

About You

We are looking for a candidate with experience in manufacturing, petro-chemical, oil and gas, or similar heavy industry environments. Desired skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, materials, or manufacturing engineering
  • Good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, welding processes, and procedures
  • Experience with repair methodologies on vessels and tanks
  • Understanding of RBM (Risk-based Maintenance) and RCM (reliability-centered maintenance) strategy development
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, AUTOCAD, and SAP PM or similar

The Site

Our Northern Australian Operations consist of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation, and sulphuric acid plants, plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and housing to support the permanent workforce.
